When the new CEO of the Girl Scouts of Tejas Council was building her management team, she turned to O'Neal Consulting. The mission was to find a Chief Operating Officer and Chief Development Officer to run this $6M, 20-county non-profit organization in Northeast Texas. Within six weeks O'Neal Consulting had found an experienced Development Officer who could bring fresh ideas to the Council because of her previous work in several non-profits in the Dallas community. In another four weeks a Chief Operating Officer had been identified. This leader came from private industry, but had the skills, talents and management experience to run the decentralized operations of the Council.
The O'Neal approach was to cast a broad net, and to think outside the box. While other Girl Scout organizations were contacted for possible leads, the ability to see how talents apply in different settings enabled O'Neal Consulting to bring an array of outstanding candidates to the Council for their consideration. The final selections were made from among these candidates supplied by O'Neal Consulting. |
