Barbara O'Neal, principal of O'Neal Consulting, is an experienced management consultant and business executive specializing in alignment of strategies and people. She has built her firm on the wisdom and knowledge gained from a distinguished career in business, education and government.
O誰eal is passionate about helping companies succeed. She believes people are the real strength of any organization and this belief has led her to focus on coaching, training and inspiring the people who come to her for help.

Her career began in education, where she progressed from being a full-time teacher to becoming president of the Texas State Teachers Association, where she led the 95,000-member, statewide organization.
She then moved into public service. After directing field operations for Bob Krueger痴 U.S. senatorial campaign in 1983, she joined the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts as Director of Personnel where she oversaw 5,000 employees and 500 managers.
O誰eal then became Vice President of Human Resources for Lomas Financial Corporation. During the 1990s, she served as director of human resources for both Health Economics Corporation and CellStar Corporation.
She founded O'Neal Consulting in 1996 to assist organizations with recruiting and human resources programs and projects designed to increase employee productivity and reduce exposure to litigation and diversity-related complaints. She also specialized in outsourcing and implementing programs to enhance performance and bottom-line results. In 2001, she led the human resources consulting practice at Benefit Partners and left there in 2004 to focus solely on her consulting business. O誰eal has served on the boards of many not-for-profit organizations, including:

After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree from Baylor University, O誰eal earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Southern Methodist University through its Executive MBA program.
